Welcome to the Pony Club Polo Web pages! Polo has now become a US Pony Club Discipline! Polo has been a discipline of the British Pony Club for decades. An exciting team sport on horse back where each team works to send the game ball through a goal, moving the ball along the ground, by use of a mallet. It is similar in concept to soccer on horseback. We will have an exciting year ahead of us, with clinics, practices and rallies. We have designed a rule book that makes Polo accessible to Pony Club. One horse is all you need to play!
We will be adding lesson plans, equipment providers, clinician, and Polo opportunities. If you would like to contribute, please make a submission. We are also looking for a few more committee members. Please e-mail me if you have time and an interest.
Stay tuned for more!

| ||Cedar Knob Pony Club had over 20 participates come out for a two-day clinic, bringing their own mounts and introducing them to Polo! Brandon Alcott, PC Grad and Polo Instructor lead the clinic and now a couple of the Pony Club members are looking into Grooming opportunities at the Nashville Polo Club!|
Hunt Pony Club hosted an unmounted introductory clinic, as a precursor to a
future mounted clinic, introducing them to the rules and how to hit the ball
with foot mallets. In a small indoor
arena Brandon introduced the four basic shots and got everyone to participate
in a foot mallet scrimmage. Plans
are in the works for a follow-up clinic, where everyone brings their own mount
and introduces them to the sport. || |
