Partners in the Bluegrass

Lexington, KY, September 28, 2011— When two equine educational powerhouses join forces, it only makes sense that they both hail from horse country. The United States Pony Clubs, based in Lexington, KY is pleased to announce a new affiliate partner: Kentucky Equine Research (KER). KER is an international nutrition and exercise physiology, research, consultation, and product-development company also housed in the bluegrass. Kevin Price, CEO of The United States Pony Clubs, stated "The addition of KER’s professional research staff and extensive equine nutrition and exercise physiology educational content fits well with Pony Club’s plans to expand and further enrich its current educational standards of proficiency.”

Part of KER’s efforts will be sharing educational articles, videos, and other materials with the Pony Club membership. Some of these materials will be available on each organization’s website, in newsletters, and some will be presented live during The United States Pony Clubs Annual Meeting and Equine Symposium in New Orleans, LA, January 26-29, 2012. "The future of the horse business is centered on educating the young people of today, and Pony Club is the leader in educating young horse enthusiasts. While KER has supported Pony Club in the past, we are proud to now become a part of that educational process,” said Kimberly S. Brown, Global Marketing Manager of KER.

About KER – Kentucky Equine Research works as a consultant and resource to feed manufacturers on six continents. They have been responsible for providing feed and nutritional guidance for horses at the last four Olympic Games, the 2010 World Equestrian Games, and the 2010 Asia Games. For more information about KER visit www.ker.com or their free online educational library at www.equinews.com or call the US headquarters at 859-873-1988.
