Western FAQs

Starting in January 2012, The United States Pony Clubs launched a two year pilot program to introduce Western riding as a potential Pony Club discipline. As of January 2014, the Board of Governors has approved Western as a USPC track and is open to all clubs and centers to participate in the Western program. Standards of Proficiency, Test Sheets and Flow Charts have been published for the D-1 through C-2 levels. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s) have been developed and the Committee is now working on gathering materials, resources and activity ideas to support the teaching of Western.

If you have any materials or resources that you'd like to share, please submit them for review by the Western Committee.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me or Connie Jehlik, Instruction Director.
