Emily H., a Pony Club Member, competing in the Alltech 2010 World Equestrian Games.
Vaulting as an activity gives riders the opportunity to improve their confidence, suppleness, balance and rhythm.  Learning how to vault off from any positions, as well as good landings, decreases chances of injury from a fall.

Vaulting as a discipline is GREAT!  Pony Club has released the 2014 Rulebook for Vaulting, see below.  The Rulebook contains information on getting a Vaulting program started in a club or center, the materials needed, exercises, introducing the horse to the sport,
and various competitions, examinations and certificates that can be achieved by members.

If you are interested in introducing vaulting into your club or center, please contact the Vaulting Activities Resource, Beth Whillock.

In addition, watch this page as additional resources and materials will be added in the future.

The American Vaulting Association is the governing body for the sport of Vaulting in the United States.  Check out their website to find competitions in your area for a member field trip!  And to find Vaulting clinicians.
