2015 USPC Inter-Pacific Exchange
The tentative dates for the IPE Exchange to Canada are
July 31-August 17, 2015.

About the Exchange:
 
Team Canada 2015 will consist of 4 Riders, one Chaperone/Coach.  The Exchange Team will:
  • Compete in Eventing and Show Jumping (Nation’s Cup)
  • Meet Teams from Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand and Canada
  • Make lifetime friends
  • See the sights and adventures in Canada with All Exchange participants 
 
General Info:
 
To qualify for the USPC Inter-Pacific International Team the competitor must be between 17 and 21 years of age on Jan. 1, 2015 with a minimum certification of B at time of application. International Teams consist of the top four. The Selection Panel determines the team using information in the applications and recommendations. The Selection Panel will consider a candidate’s ambassadorial attributes as well as the riding, riding on borrowed horses and teamwork abilities of each candidate. The International Team will join teams from Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, and New Zealand. The exchange runs July 31 - Aug 17, 2015. Please note international travel may require additional days for travel and training before departure.
 
Selection Criteria for Competitors:
  • Be a B, H-A or A level Pony Club member in good standing.
  • Be 17 to 21 years of age as of January 1, 2015.
  • Have strong Horse Management skills.
  • Have a strong record of service to Pony Club.
  • Have high Ambassador qualities.
  • Have a strong background in riding borrowed horses, Eventing at the Training level, and Show Jumping at 3’6”.
  • Have recommendations of your:
    • DC/CA
    • RS
    • And one other Pony Club official (RIC, HMO, NE, BOG, Committee member, etc.)
  • Assist with fundraising (please read through the Fundraising Guidelines)
  • If necessary, be able to meet prior to the official start of the Exchange to begin work as a team (location to be determined).
  • Sign and adhere to a Code of Conduct.
  • Complete all application requirements.

Instructions:

If you meet the requirements listed above, please:

  1. Have your DC/CA, RS, and your 3rd reference complete the Applicant Reference Form
  2. Send to the National Office:  DVD or YouTube links of your riding - Dressage, Show Jumping and Cross Country on different horses to the National Office ALONG WITH your completed Application and signed Waiver and Code of Conduct Form.

All requirements must be submitted on-line or postmarked by November 15, 2014, in order for the application to be considered.  NO LATE APPLICATIONS will be considered.
