May 7, 2014 (Lexington, KY) – The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. is proud to be a sponsor of the written test for the Interscholastic Equestrian Association National Finals in both Hunt Seat and Western.  The Holy Innocents’ Horsemanship Test – presented by The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2014 in Springfield, Massachusetts.  The Interscholastic Equestrian Association Horseman’s Knowledge Test – presented by The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. will take place on Thursday, June 26, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  The top team from each test will be invited to compete in The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. 2014 Quiz Championships held at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky on July 15 – 18, 2014.

The Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School Horsemanship Test and The Horseman’s Knowledge Test were created to promote good horsemanship among Interscholastic Equestrian Association athletes.  They are intended to compliment the Interscholastic Equestrian Association’s mission to educate younger equestrians in all areas of equestrian studies and focuses on the belief that horsemanship always comes first.  The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. is proud to support the Interscholastic Equestrian Association in their goal to foster and educate well-rounded horse people.

About Pony Club - The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. (Pony Club) was founded in 1954 as a nonprofit national youth organization to teach riding and horsemanship through a formal educational program. There are approximately 10,000 Pony Club members in over 600 clubs and riding centers throughout the country. Many of the nation’s top equestrians, including several of our Olympic team members, business professionals, government leaders and career military officers, have roots in Pony Club. Traditional members range in age from as young as 4 through age 25. Pony Club also offers educational opportunities to over 500 adult members in its Horsemasters Program. www.ponyclub.org.
