USPC Eventing Grand Prix Award on Tap for Festival

March 14, 2014 (Lexington, KY) - The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. will be offering a $5,000 award to the winning Preliminary Eventing Team during the 2014 USPC Championships. This award is only offered during Festival, a triennial event which will be held this year on July 14-21 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY. USPC Championships is an exciting destination event for young Preliminary riders. This prize is offered as an incentive to Upper Level members who compete at USPC Championships. In the last Festival year, 2011, all five members of the winning team, including the Stable Manager, won a $1,000 prize each, rewarding their excellence in riding, horsemanship and teamwork.

The Broussard Family Trust has made a major contribution to secure this award for years to come. Additional funds were raised by Horse Trials, Pony Clubs, USPC Regions, and even individuals from across the country. Pony Club extends it gratitude to the supporting donations received from these generous donors.

To learn more about the award, please visit the USPC Eventing Discipline website. http://www.eventing.ponyclub.org/News.htm
